Man Arrested After Body of Brian Nandana Found Buried at Warren Hills Cemetery
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Brian Nandana after police recovered the victim’s body from a shallow grave at Warren Hills Cemetery.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed on May 21, 2026, that Shepherd Severa was taken into custody following the discovery of a blood-stained Toyota Aqua, registration number AGO 2804, at the cemetery on May 19, 2026.
According to the ZRP, Severa admitted during investigations to killing Nandana with a kitchen knife. He later led officers to the gravesite where Nandana’s body was exhumed.
A post-mortem examination found a deep cut to the neck and a scar on the head.
The timeline from when Nandana was reported missing to the recovery of his body was not detailed in the ZRP statement. Police said the case remains under investigation, and further information may be released as the inquiry progresses.
ZRP has appealed to members of the public with any additional information to report to the nearest police station.
